As we were on the out skirts of Mombassa we had to go and see the real Kenya. We took a day trip in to the city where we met with our guide he took us to the Coop wood carvery where they carve all the wooden animals and trible masks that you oftern see in the ethnic shops. After that we went around some of the hindu temples, through the old parts of Mombassa and then into the spice market.
The thing about the Kenyans is even though they dont have a lot and work insanley hard for what little they do have they are always so happy and friendley to everyone. It is pretty much impossible to walk past someone with out a friendley smile followed by “Jambo”. They are always very proud of there work and are eagar to show you. It really put things into prospective for me and showed me that I really am lucky to have what I have and we should all be proud of what ever we acchive be it big or small.
Below are some more photos to give you another taster of Kenya. Enjoy!

So yeah we got back home no thanks to the Ash cloud. Kenya was amazing and I am so sad to have to be back. Yeah we went on Safari for 3 days it was fab although we didnt get to see all of the BIG 5 the rhino didnt want to come out and play. But what we did see was out of this world. Our guide George was fab and he had eyes like a hawk he could spot an animal off from miles away. He really took good care of us and made sure we were fed and watered through out the entire trip. I must admit that animals are a little like children really and not only in the sence that they can be unpredictable and a little crazy. But that they photograph so much better in there own environment when they are left to play and do what they want to do. So as you can imagne I have got some fab images from our safari and I have attached a few of them below for you all to see. I did take hundreds but I have picked out a few of my favourates.
